Welcome to Blackbird Hunting & Fishing Ranch. We are conveniently located in Fairfield, Texas—only 70 minutes from Dallas, and just two hours and 20 minutes north of Houston. We feature several all-inclusive and affordable trophy whitetail deer hunting packages, each one an unforgettable hunting and relaxation experience. We start by making sure your trophy deer hunt is exclusive to you and members of your family or group so you can enjoy and fully immerse yourself in the experience.

Blackbird Ranch started by introducing superior whitetail deer genetics, and we now have a thriving, self-sustaining deer population. Most of our whitetail population (80%) will be up to 190 inches. We produce several monster trophy bucks over the 200-inch class, though we do not know how many—or their actual sizes—until late August or early September. Our trophy deer hunts are fully guided and yield a success rate near 100%. Our remote location guarantees full immersion in a hunt-of-a-lifetime experience.

Guided Whitetail Deer Hunts in Texas

Experience some of the best trophy whitetail deer hunting in Central Texas! The whitetail deer you’ll see here are world-class, as are our owner and guides. We feature several popular guided hunt packages designed to provide you with an unforgettable experience. Along with our trophy deer hunt packages, we now also offer all-inclusive exotic hunt packages for blackbuck, fallow deer, and axis deer. Ranch hunts take place from September through the end of January.

All-Inclusive Whitetail Deer Hunts Include

All-inclusive trophy whitetail deer hunt packages include a private guide for Bow, Rifle, or Muzzleloader hunts.
Hunts are two nights of lodging and three days of trophy hunting.
Private on-site lodging includes fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, and outdoor barbecue grill. Families and corporate groups are always welcome.
Field dressing of deer to customer specifications.
Comfortable box stands and ground blinds positioned over feeders and other food sources.
Private lake outside your back door – enjoy trophy Florida largemouth bass, catfish, and crappie fishing included with your whitetail hunting package. Rods, reels, and tackle not included.

Whitetail Hunting Ranch House

Decorated with whitetail deer sheds and European mounts, our Whitetail Hunting Ranch House offers an atmosphere of past successful hunts. For larger party, this expansive 9,000-square-foot ranch house, with an attached pool house, is the perfect getaway for hunters, fishermen, and outdoor enthusiasts. The ranch house offers ample space and privacy, with seven bedrooms and three living areas. The main house features five well-appointed bedrooms, including 3 king and 3 full beds. The pool house includes two additional bedrooms with 3 queen beds and a cozy living area, providing even more space for larger groups. Combined, the main and pool house can comfortably sleep 15 guests.

Trophy Deer Hunting Packages in Texas

Our Trophy Deer Hunting Packages in Texas include two nights of lodging and three days of guided hunting. Arrival is noon Monday, Wednesday, or Friday with departure by noon Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday. This schedule may be changed for a corporate hunting group, so please ask if these days can be adjusted for your group. Trophy deer hunt packages include a continental breakfast before each hunt – fresh coffee, Danish or donuts, toast, cereals, and juice. Bruch and Dinner are included with trophy hunt. Guests are always welcome at Blackbird Ranch. We charge $350 per night per guest (includes lodging, meals & fishing included) and children 8 and younger are free unless hunting.

A Texas hunting license, required for deer hunting at Blackbird Ranch, can be bought online at Texas Parks and Wildlife.

We require a $1,500 deposit within two weeks after you make your reservation, and we accept all major credit cards. When you arrive at the ranch, your remaining payment is due by cash, debit card, corporate check, or credit card.

Our goal is to provide the hunter—our guest—with a reasonable opportunity to harvest whitetail bucks of the size the hunter has reserved. We maintain a 97% success rate on all our guided hunts. If the opportunity does not present itself, you will be charged only the initial deposit cost. If a shot is attempted and/or a trophy deer is wounded, the obligation of Blackbird Ranch is considered met. Every reasonable attempt will be made to recover a wounded deer. Your guide will choose when to stop the search for a deer from which blood or hair has been drawn and consider the hunt ended.
